On a rainy day…

umbrella standJapan has more rain than many other countries with the rainy season, the typhoons and the heavy snows. As a result, umbrella stands are now a must for our daily lives. At the museums, the hospitals and every place we go, we can find umbrella stands at the entrance.

Recently, as soon as it starts to rain, shops and restaurants have placed “Kasa-pon”(“Kasa” means an umbrella and “pon” represents its sound), a gadget putting a long plastic bag to an umbrella automatically at the entrance. It’s simple to use. Close your umbrella and insert it from the top, then just pull it.

kasa-ponIf there are umbrella stands, we sometimes leave an umbrella or have to worry about the possibility of having it stolen. Also, browsing through a shop with a wet umbrella makes the floor dirty and slippery. This gadget will make your depressing rainy day a little bit comfortable!

It’s only thing we can experience on a rainy day.
